Transit Websites
SouthWest Transit
The SouthWest Transit website was originally created in 2015 by Avallo. In 2022, we redesigned the site with the guidance of the SouthWest Team. We wanted to make the site cleaner and brighter while also keeping all of the existing content. This included redesigning how the route schedules look so the cities and times were highlighted when choosing the numbered routes. We also reorganized the content so it is easier to navigate and less cluttered. We removed the large navigation across the top and put it all in a hamburger menu. The new site is user-friendly and fully-responsive across all devices and sends out rider alerts to a route's subscribers.
SouthWest Transit is an award-winning transit agency for Carver, Chaska, Chanhassen and Eden Prairie. They currently offer service to and from Downtown Minneapolis, the University of Minnesota, Normandale Community College and Best Buy Headquarters. In addition to their regular route service, they also offer a number of seasonal services, including State Fair, Twins Express, Vikings Express, Gophers Express, select concerts, and more. At SouthWest Transit, they believe transportation is about more than just moving people from place to place. It’s an opportunity to make life better and to transform perspectives. SWT Kiosk
Avallo also designed the kiosk for the transit stations. The kiosk is connected to the website content management system and includes both chat and a phone to contact customer service directly.
Liberty Lines Transit
Liberty Lines of Yonkers, New York reached out to Avallo to help them with a new website and a logo redesign. They wanted a logo similar to what they have been using for decades, but with an updated design. Liberty Transit has a very long history and is an exceptional partner with the Bee-Line System in Westchester County. Integral to Liberty Lines's management is the long relationship with Transit Workers Union Local 100. This is highlighted in the new website PLUS route information, links to Bee-Line, career information including a job application, and a secure area just for drivers.
We also designed a new scheduling system for drivers to help reduce the number of manual hours needed for implementation.
The website was programmed to be easily managed in-house. The Liberty Lines website is built for any type of future upgrade. Future upgrades coming soon include an updated human resources section and the integration of a transit app. Visit the new website here: https://libertylines.com/
