Vasculitis Foundation

01

The Problem

The Vasculitis Foundation needed a reorganized website to help doctors, patients, families, and students easily find the information they needed. The existing site didn’t reflect the visual identity their graphic designer had developed for print and social media.

With over 20 different types of vasculitis, it was essential to streamline navigation. To do this, we programmed the homepage to collect basic user input and generate a personalized list of relevant links—making it faster and easier for each visitor to access the content most important to them.

02

Reorganizing & Designing

Our designer collaborated with the Vasculitis Foundation’s in-house team, using their existing brand elements to create a fresh, cohesive look for the homepage and each section of the site. We also helped organize and tag every video so it would automatically appear in the appropriate section.

Each page was built using our custom template system, making it easy for the Vasculitis Foundation team to manage and create new pages once the site was handed off.

To streamline the review process, we developed an online proofing system that tracked the progress of hundreds of pages. At a glance, the team could see what content needed approval, updates, or finalization—keeping the entire project organized and moving forward efficiently.

03

FIND A DOCTOR

A key feature of the website is the "Find a Doctor" section, which plays a critical role given the limited number of vasculitis specialists—estimated at only 800 worldwide. This tool is designed to help patients and caregivers connect with knowledgeable medical professionals in their area. The page is powered by a private and secure Google Sheet, allowing the Vasculitis Foundation team to easily update and manage the directory in real time without requiring technical assistance. Users can conveniently search for specialists by city, state, or zip/postal code, making it easier to find care close to home.

04

Responsive Design

The site is also fully optimized for responsiveness across all device types and screen sizes. Whether users are accessing the site from a smartphone, tablet, or desktop computer, they experience a seamless and intuitive interface. Layouts, images, and text dynamically adjust to fit different screen sizes, ensuring that content remains clear and navigable without requiring excessive zooming or scrolling. These combined efforts create a user-friendly experience that is both inclusive and universally accessible.

Visually Appealing

I want you to know how much I have enjoyed working with Avallo. The website is very visually appealing, and the design is finally cohesive,
and that is thanks to the team at Avallo. I highly recommend Avallo.
