The Problem

Kittelson Marketing had successfully used the same website for over a decade as they built a strong presence in the fundraising space. But when they expanded into food service products for cafés and coffee shops, the original site no longer supported their evolving business model. They needed a way to serve two distinct audiences—fundraising groups and food service clients—without confusing or overwhelming users.

Avallo designed a modern, mobile-friendly website that uses color-coded navigation to clearly separate product lines and guide each user group to the right area. Fundraising customers can quickly find the programs they know and trust, while food service clients benefit from a streamlined shopping cart experience tailored to their needs. The new site not only supports their current operations—it’s also built to grow as their e-commerce offerings expand.

Fundraising Programs

The fundraising section of the website is highlighted in red to help returning users easily navigate familiar territory. We retained all the essential content from the previous site, but updated key features, such as the “Want to Buy” section. Custom programming lets anyone inquire about fundraising purchases without disclosing personal details publicly, providing a more secure and private experience.

Each fundraising product has its dedicated page with clear photos and detailed information, making it easy for visitors to browse. Organizations can also sign up directly through the website, streamlining the process. Despite the added functionality and the introduction of the food service section, the site remains clean, intuitive, and easy to navigate, ensuring both new and long-time users feel right at home.

As Kittelson Marketing expanded into food service products, they needed an e-commerce solution that could start small but scale easily with their business. We implemented WooCommerce—a flexible, cost-effective platform that fit their needs perfectly and allowed for future growth without a complete rebuild.

To maintain the clean, modern aesthetic of the site, we customized the shopping cart to match the overall design. Thanks to high-quality food photography, the product pages look polished and professional, enhancing the user experience. This solution gave Kittelson Marketing an affordable way to elevate their business and confidently enter the food service market.
